Our multi-award-winning Kitchen offers two levels of dining here at The Avoca. In the Public Bar you can order relaxed, traditional “Pub Grub” style food from the Bar Menu, varying from snacks to full meals. There is a section of the Dining Room dedicated to Bar meals and tables may be reserved there. We do not accept reservations in the Bar itself or outside.
In our formal restaurant, Chére @ The Avoca, we offer cuisine designed to be shared, similar to tapas. Chére has full table service, but still in a relaxed and comfortable environment.

Booking is highly recommended.
Our weekly Specials Menu offers additional market specials as well as desserts, and these can be ordered both in Chére and the Bar.

We have received many awards for the standard of our Wine List, both nationally and internationally.
With a particular focus on wines from the surrounding Regions of the Pyrenees, Grampians, Great Western and Ballarat, our list is a proper reflection of our physical place in the world. Our close connections with all of the wineries, gives us unique access to many older wines to share with our customers and to show how current vintages might develop over time for the canny collector.
Of equal acclaim is our extraordinary list of Beers. It has been inducted into Gourmet Traveller Wine magazine’s Hall of Fame as the Best Beer List in Australia. At over 200 beers, it takes some effort to get through, but each beer is described in detail to make it as easy as possible to find something you’ll like.
