The Avoca Football Netball Club wish to thank everyone that assisted with the MCDFNL Finals Gate Raffle, Canteen, and BBQ, that we operated over the weekend at Carisbrook.
It was a big operation and we are very appreciative of those volunteers that put their hands up to help.
Russell did an outstanding job on the raffle, and Sima and Roysie ran the Canteen exceptionally as always. Bill and Zac in the timekepers box.
Special Mention to Vicki & Darb Wardlaw who were at the BBQ from start to finish except for a spell during the Reserves game to watch Snow play his 300th game.
We also make a further special mention to Patty Farnsworth who also helped at the BBQ all day. Not bad for a lady in her 80’s! Thank you Patty!
And thank you to Carisbrook FNC for the use of their BBQ.

We also thank all of the senior players for running water for the Ressies, and the juniors, and to anyone else that helped with assisting the football and netball grades.
We still have the Bar at the Preliminary Final on Sunday 8th September and we will require helpers. Anyone willing to help out on the day, please contact Ben Coghlan or Robert Rayner.
Next week we have our 17 & Under netballers and our 11,5 footballers playing on Sunday at Princes Park and we hope to see a lot of Red, White and Blue in attendance supporting our junior teams.
